A B2B service company needed a WhatsApp agent that qualifies leads, answers objections, updates the CRM and hands off to a human, while holding a natural human persona.
Prompt leak through tool errors. In testing, a failing tool made the agent paste the raw system error and name the automation platform to the user. I added two prompt blocks:
Design rule learned: forbidden tokens (platform names, model names) only appear inside quoted negative examples, never loose in the instructions, because the model learns tokens from the prompt.
Validation: a Sonnet simulation playing the agent against an adversarial battery, two rounds. All critical cases held, including the real leak that started the fix.
Latency: 49s to 29s per turn. The RAG step ran about 18s per turn against an empty knowledge base and its output was discarded. I disabled it (reversibly) for the pilot, and the knowledge base is planned from real objections collected in conversations. The remaining ~25s is intentional debounce.
